The Second Harvest of Autumn Equinox
Saturday, September 28, 2002
at Del Paso Park
(See Map Below)
This is an Open Circle. Everyone is invited to attend: novice and experienced practitioner alike. Children and babies are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.
We are asking for a $1.00 voluntary donation per person to help defray Festival expenses.
We will begin at 1:00 PM with Children's Activities. There may be items for sale by private vendors before the Ritual.
We will start the Ritual at 3:00 PM. If you arrive late, you will be able to observe from outside the Circle. The Ritual will include a Leaf-Burning Ceremony to release negativity. Each person present will then be able to plant an acorn, which they can take home. Planted acorns will represent the seeds of future Harvests.
We will be Feasting after the Ritual, so please bring a dish for the Pot Luck, and bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. We are a 'Dry' Circle. No drugs or alcohol are served at our activities. Food brought for the Feast may consist of anything you choose.
There will be a Raffle during dinner to raise funds for future activities. Any items that you might wish to donate for the Raffle are always gratefully accepted. Many thanks to those of you who have donated items in the past.
From I-80 or Business 80, take the Watt Ave. South exit. Turn left at Auburn Blvd. Just before the light at the freeway entrance, turn left on to Park Rd. You can park anywhere along the road. We will be in the green area, at the North-East end of the park, NOT near the baseball fields.
We look forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions or concerns, please E-MAIL ME.
